my office is working with an outside vendor to produce a new alumni directory. this company is calling our alumni to verify and/or update their contact information, as well as to ask them if they would like to purchase said directory.

many an alumnus/a has called me to verify the legitimacy of the calls they are receiving. smart move.

however, many of them are calling to verify this after having given over their credit card information.
