i was informed yesterday that the husband of an acquaintance was killed in iraq on monday. they had been married for less than two months when he was shipped off in january. peace be to his memory.
and peace on earth.

my baby brother is being shipped to iraq in august. :(
i haven't seen him in a year & i'm going home this weekend.

i just found out. and he's not even regular army; he's friggin' national guard!
I have a friend whose brother-in-law is in Afghanistan. No plans to bring him home anytime soon. His daughter is growing up without him there. I can't stand this plasterhead of a president...what have we done to deserve this?
