i found my dress this morning at david’s bridal. it was the first dress i tried on, though i did try on four others just to see what they looked like. another one was a close second, but then i put on the first one again for comparison, and i still loved it.
even though none of us was teary-eyed, as so often seems to happen with women who find “the dress,” i knew it was the dress for me. after i verbalized that it was my final decision, i stepped down from the pedestal on which i was standing with the intention of taking off the dress and putting my own clothes back on. my mother stopped me and opened her arms to engulf me in a hug, her eyes filled with tears. we hugged and took pictures.
unfortunately, i can’t show them to you, because david reads this blog with some regularlity.
