not to trivialize that statement, but i have been told my car is still under warrantee, and that is truly a blessing. therefore, the new alternator will be much cheaper, if not completely free. at this point, anything under seven hundred dollars is a gift. [insert sigh of relief here.]

Hello? Car-guy here...hellooooo?
Seriously, if it's covered under warranty, cool. If not, though, you should let me know. Not that I'm particularly fond of Hondas and Toyotas (it's an Accord, right?), and I'm sure the alternator is more than likely in a place that is a PAIN to get at, I should be able to hook you up, if you need it. I'm guessing the part itself isn't more than $200.
