thinking ahead

now that we’ve got a “mere” 133 days until the wedding, i’ve begun thinking about some ways in which we can make life easier for ourselves once we’re married by taking care of them now. job number one? getting us on a shared cell-phone plan.

my current phone (below, left) is so old i couldn’t find one for sale on ebay, so i took a picture of it. what you can’t really see in the photo are the scratches on the screen from the time i dropped it face-down on the ground and watched as it slid under my car, and the fact that the rubber pad on the back, which is supposed to make it more comfortable to hold, fell off two years ago, and even super glue couldn’t re-adhere it. so much for forming “. . . the strongest bonds on clean breaks of non-porous material such as plastic, rubber, and metal . . .”

anyway, that’s my phone. my old, scratched, uncomfortable-to-hold phone. well, it’s really not that bad, but it is old. which brings me to the new, sleek, and (maybe not all that much more) comfortable-to-hold phone on which i have my eye. the motorola razr. and by purchasing a (product) red razr, i would be making a contribution (however small) to the elimination of aids in africa. every little bit helps, right?

now well just have to see if we agree on which service provider to use . . . ;)

i don't see anything on the site that limits the provider you can use with the red razr, but it will be worth looking into.
