we thought as we witnessed the handcuffing of someone we later learned was an auto thief, on the sidewalk across the street from our apartment.

man, that is THE block for it! remember when kj's car was stolen WHILE SHE WATCHED a few years ago?! nevertheless.....i do love living in the city, wouldn't have it any other way. :)
That is exactly where my car was stolen! I only wish they would have handcuffed that thief before he drove off with my 1988 Caprice Classic.
clarification: the car the guy stole was not in front of our building. it was nearly two miles away. he only was apprehended across the street from our place.
