is it just me, or can blogging sometimes be really exhausting? trying to come up with something worth reading—whether it be witty, emotionally charged, or just plain interesting—every few days? lately i've felt that i simply haven’t had anything of much import to say. i’m not eloquent, i’m not deep, and i’m rarely funny (at least to people other than myself). in addition, the lack of comments on my posts leads me to believe one of two things: either no one is reading or no one gives a rip about what i’m writing.

whatever the case, i’m going to take a break from blogging for a bit. or perhaps i will only blog when i truly feel led. i’m not sure. for those of you who excel at blogging, i applaud you and look forward to reading your posts.

check back every few weeks; maybe the blogging spirit will have moved me.

I totally understand. I went through phase where I blogged everyday! And now I'm lucky if I do it once a week! I feel like I never have anything "good" or "exciting" to blog about.

You can count on me checking in on you! :)

i check almost daily, but never have anything enlightening to say in response, let alone post myself.

Blogging shouldn't be a chore. I try not to feel pressured to post myself -- I'd rather go a week or more without posting than post drivel. (Not to suggest I always avoid posting drivel.) Take as long as you need, and post when you feel like it. We'll be here.

funny enough, i've been checking every day wondering when you're going to post some pictures from your weekend away!

i'm with you on wondering if anyone is reading what i write....and then people comment to me (in person) about "catching up" on my life rather frequently, which makes me feel a little better.

take a break if you need one, but i love reading your posts, and promise to be more diligent about commenting when you return!

It is a little rough without much feedback, isn't it? Knowing that, you'd think I'd do a little better leaving the occasional comment on the blogs I frequent, wouldn't you?

Oh well, rest up and return when you're ready!

I'll miss your blogging...but i also understand. We all go through such seasons.

(PS I do love reading what's happening in your newlywed life!)

There is the school that believes that writing is a response to crisis. If that be true, let your respite from blogging be a respite from stress--enjoy the wonderful glow of newly married life.
